Abstract
¡ºByunjeung-okham(Ü©ñûè¬ùÞ)¡» is composed of four volumes, Eumjeung-yangjeungbyun(ëäñøåÕñøÜ©, Vol.1), Heojeungsiljeungbyeon(úÈñøãùñøÜ©, Vol.2), Sangjeunghajeungbyun(ß¾ñøù»ñøÜ©, Vol.3) and Jinjeunggajeungbyun(òØñøÊ£ñøÜ©, Vol.4) (Ïéñýì顸ëäñøåÕñøÜ©¡¹, Ïéñý죡¸úÈñøãùñøÜ©¡¹, Ïéñýß²¡¸ß¾ñøù»ñøÜ©¡¹, ÏéñýÞÌ¡¸òØñøÊ£ñøÜ©¡¹). It is based on the 74 types of disease symptoms, and compared to ??Byunjeungrok(Ü©ñûÖâ)??, it is rather brief and concise. Thus, its name,¡ºByunjeung-okham¡». This study researched vol.2, ¡¸Heojeungsiljeungbyun(úÈñøãùñøÜ©)¡¹, which is organized according to the deficiency and excess pattern of 20 disease patterns, such as cough. The disease pattern system mentioned in this book is unique compared with other disease pattern systems. The role of the kidney is especially emphasized, and the application of the Five-phase[çéú¼] theory is very original. Consequently, it contributed greatly in the process of broadening the disease pattern system of Traditional Korean Medicine.
